When my daughter turned 2, it was quite obvious to us that we would need something sturdy, safe, and not too big for her to be at our level in the kitchen. Kids are naturally curious, they want to participate and she wanted to do just that.
She also adores water play so it was an easy way for us to let her play in the sink for as long as she wished! After all, water play is the best sensory play activity for kids in my opinion.

And never once did it even slightly tip over as my daughter would lean over the edge. Not once. But this year, she turned 4 and we sadly had to let it go. She is very tall and the tipping could happen as her body weight would be off-balanced if she did lean over. It gave us a solid 2 years of use.

How do you use a learning tower?
Water play in the sink, help with washing and putting away the dishes, sensory play on the counter, clean the windows, help with cooking activities, learn how to stir, pour, and mix, great for imitation and fine motor skills.
We used it at the kitchen counter, for her to practice her “cooking skills”. She loved to imitate so we would often give her her own little bowl, whisk, and some cereal. She loved it.
You could use it for sensory play too – playdough on the counter is fun! Or they could even help with baking. Cleaning windows can also be fun for them! Or drawing on them with erasable markers.
I really love how a toddler learning tower gives a child the chance to learn while participating in family routines. For that simple reason, this purchase is so worthwhile.

When children engage in various play or life activities, they are exploring and use their senses to learn about the world around them. The learning tower can enhance these important skills such as:

How can I make my learning tower safer?
1 – Remove any and all dangerous objects that would be at your child’s reach (think knives, scissors, glass items, unprotected electrical outlets, etc).
2 – Ensure that your tower is a good distance from your stove/oven.
3 – Always supervise your child when using the tower.
4 – Adjust the tower’s base height as they grow, ensuring it would tip over.
5 – Put the tower away when not in use.
6 – Inspect your tower often to ensure its safety.
What age is appropriate for learning towers?
Learning towers are appropriate for children ages two (2) and up. However, please use your best judgment when determining if your child is ready to use a learning tower. If you have any concerns, please consult with your child’s pediatrician.
How do you clean a learning tower?
To clean your learning tower, simply wipe it down with a damp cloth. For tougher stains, you can use a mild soap and water solution.
As you can see, the learning tower was simply amazing for us! Just remember, you still need to supervise your child closely even if they are within the tower.
